Multicultural & Cross-Cultural Counseling Specialization

Where culture meets compassion.

I offer culturally responsive support for individuals from South Asian and multicultural backgrounds, creating a therapeutic space where identity, family dynamics, and lived experiences are deeply understood and respected. Many clients seek care that honors both their personal story and their cultural context, and I strive to provide an environment where both can coexist with ease.

My work with South Asian and multicultural clients acknowledges the unique layers that often accompany emotional wellness, including intergenerational expectations, academic or professional pressures, cultural stigma around mental health, and the complexities of navigating multiple identities. Clients often share that they value not having to explain cultural references, norms, or family dynamics, and appreciate the comfort of working with a clinician who understands these subtleties.

In this space, I support clients in exploring topics such as:
Family roles, expectations, and boundary-setting
Intergenerational stress and communication patterns
High achievement and perfectionism
Balancing cultural values with personal goals
Identity development and belonging
Stress, burnout, and emotional overwhelm
Relationship patterns shaped by collectivist or cultural influences
Personal growth, self-trust, and resilience

My approach blends evidence-based therapeutic modalities with cultural humility, respect, and an understanding that each client’s experience is shaped by many intersecting identities. I aim to help clients feel seen, validated, and empowered as they navigate their emotional world, honor their heritage, and build a sense of grounded wellbeing.

This is a space where your cultural story is welcomed, your individuality is honored, and your healing journey is supported with compassion, clarity, and care.
