More about me
I’m Darshana Doshi, LMFT, a multi-state licensed therapist providing evidence-based, culturally attuned therapy for adults in California. My goal is to offer a steady, grounding, and supportive space where you can explore your experiences, gain clarity, and build meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
Multicultural, Identity-Informed Care
I provide therapy that recognizes the role cultural identity, lived experience, and environmental context play in shaping emotional health. My work is guided by cultural humility and an understanding of how belonging, identity development, acculturation, and societal expectations influence stress and wellbeing. I aim to create a clinically grounded space where individuals from diverse backgrounds can reflect on their experiences without needing to explain or justify their cultural context.
Sleep & Mind-Body Wellness
I take an integrative, evidence-based approach to stress, sleep, and overall wellbeing. Using CBT strategies, mindfulness-based tools, and behavioral sleep principles, I support clients in improving sleep quality, regulating stress, and building sustainable habits that promote long-term resilience. Many clients find that addressing sleep and daily functioning leads to meaningful shifts in mood, clarity, and energy.
My Approach and Values
What Working With Me Feels Like
Clients describe my style as warm, grounding, and practical. Therapy is collaborative—together we set the pace that’s clinically appropriate, and I use evidence-based interventions to address what feels challenging. My goal is to provide a safe, culturally informed, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore openly, gain insight, and experience meaningful, lasting change.
Why I Do This Work
I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel understood, supported, and empowered. It is deeply meaningful to walk alongside clients as they navigate stress, transitions, and emotional pain, and move toward a more grounded, balanced, and aligned version of themselves.
My Values as a Therapist
My work is guided by values that shape the therapeutic relationship and the care I provide:
Integrity & Ethical Practice
I prioritize professionalism, clear boundaries, and clinical decision-making rooted in honesty and ethical care.
Compassion & Cultural Humility
Care is offered with respect, curiosity, and sensitivity to each client’s cultural background and lived experience.
Evidence-Based Treatment
Therapeutic approaches are informed by current research and tailored to support your unique needs and goals.
Collaboration & Transparency
You are an active partner in the process. I support open communication so you always feel informed and empowered.
Whole-Person Wellness
Well-being is multidimensional. I consider emotional, behavioral, relational, and physical factors that shape your overall health.
Beyond the Therapy Room
Outside of my clinical work, I value practices that support calm and balance—such as spending time with my family, reading, being in nature, and continuing to learn about wellness and behavioral science. These practices help me stay grounded and enhance the way I show up in my work.
